I am now offering private lessons in piano to students of all ages and all abilities. Based in the South Davis County area (North Salt Lake/Bountiful), I will teach you piano skills in my home or will travel to yours!

With decades of experience teaching beginning to advanced piano students, I know a flexible approach to piano instruction works better than a one-size-fits-all method. Students have different needs, interests, and ways of learning. My experience as a private lesson instructor and teaching piano students at Westminster College has taught me the importance of customizing lesson materials and methodologies based on what would help each student the most. With a commitment to diligent practicing and self-improvement, just about any person can learn how to read music and how to play the piano with a remarkable degree of proficiency.

The core of my approach is classical technique, but the music my students learn is not limited to the classical masters. If other types of music really speak to you, by all means let's explore that repertoire together, from New Age piano to Top 40 songs and beyond.
